Becky's House

Me and Derek had the most amazing time in Hawaii.  Talk about having the time of your life.  It was such a blast.  First we went to Oahu, and went to becky and Doug's house.  Tucker is getting to big, and the house is looking great that they are working on.

It is so fun to hang out with family. Luckily the weather was a little nicer than when mom and dad were there a few weeks earlier.  Thank you sunshine!  Derek got a bad sunburn.  A little itchy...

Temple Time

Yay for Marie! I am so proud of her.  The other day she went to the bishop and got her temple recommend and Marie, Lisa and I all went to the provo temple and did baptisms.  Its amazing the spirit that comes from attending the temple.

We are so lucky to live so close to a temple.  I am so grateful for the friendships that I have made here, pretty phenomenal people.  Especially marie :)

Canoeing Utah Lake

Last Saturday it was so beautiful here. Me and Derek had such a fun day.  Me, Derek, Heidi and Amber (roommates)  hiked the Y in the morning.  It was Derek's first time ever, and I know your all wondering if he loved it.  Of course he did because he loves hiking :)

Then we came home and had a barbecue at Derek's house with his new grill. He was quite excited about that. He went to the store and bought 6 different kinds of marinades for all the meat.

The we decided to go canoeing at Utah Lake... Me, Derek, Cole and Sarah (Derek's brother and girlfriend) and then Sarahs brother and wife came too.  It was really fun.

To start things off...

Derek was putting the canoe into the water with his brother cole, and he slipped in.  It was so funny, and he was laughing/frustrated and freezing. Great way to start off our little trip.

Derek's 30th!

This is a late post, but I want to put this into a book, so here it is!

A little party we had for Mr. Derek.  Isn't he so cute?  We all went to get Korean food (his favorite, not mine)  And then we came home and just had some cake and some friends over. It was a fun day.

Graduating BYU!

Well two years later I have graduation pictures.  I didn't realize that I needed some.  I finished school in the spring 2009, and then we had the weddings that summer so I just didnt think it was a big deal.  But then yesterday Derek's brother and sister both graduated from BYU and I wanted pictures too.  So two years later I am graduating!

Well that was pretty fun yesterday taking pictures and hanging out with Derek's family. They are great people.  We are both lucky to come from such great families!

Another Driving Day.

Well, I haven't really driven far in a while. A few days ago me and Jenny Decker drove through Moab and stayed at this funny hotel in the middle of no where.  I don't think you guys understand what i mean when i drive to the middle of no where.  The school I drove to was an Indian Reservation.  Its amazing just how different every school is.

We ate two times in Moab.  Really good pizza, and then this fun little mexican restaurant.  Good times

San Diego

WEEKEND IN SAN DIEGO

What a fabulous weekend!  Derek, Katie Miller, Josh and I all drove to San Diego this last weekend.  What an adventure!  Derek has a good friend Di that was getting married in La Jolla so we went to go celebrate the occasion.

We ended up stopping in Vegas, and then continued on to California.  We ended up staying at the Sheraton in La Jolla, CA.  Really beautiful and fun!

That night we went to downtown San Diego, I think its called Gaslamp District. There are lots of cute shops and great places to eat.   We walked around and went to this mexican place.

The next day Derek had to go practice to be the minister. I will explain more later.  Then we went to the Temple that afternoon. So amazing inside. I loved it.

That night we went to go eat with Derek's friends but we went to the beach right before. I forgot how much I love the beach!

DEREK THE MINISTER

Okay so I didnt know this but Derek's friend Di asked him a while ago if he would be the officiator at his wedding when he got married.  They got married a year ago in court because everyone from China couldn't get to America. So a year later they got married in California.  And Derek "married them".  

He did such a great job I was so proud of him. I'll admit I was a little nervous for him.  

We just googled some classic wedding vows and he went to work.  

It was in La Valencia - 4 star hotel in La Jolla

I learned that these boys love each other, D really looks up to Derek.  D came straight from China and then was really good friends with Derek when he was in Arizona.  Derek is the spiritual friend that's how he got his gig :)

What a good looking minister :)  He did so great!
