WEEKEND IN SAN DIEGO

What a fabulous weekend!  Derek, Katie Miller, Josh and I all drove to San Diego this last weekend.  What an adventure!  Derek has a good friend Di that was getting married in La Jolla so we went to go celebrate the occasion.

We ended up stopping in Vegas, and then continued on to California.  We ended up staying at the Sheraton in La Jolla, CA.  Really beautiful and fun!

That night we went to downtown San Diego, I think its called Gaslamp District. There are lots of cute shops and great places to eat.   We walked around and went to this mexican place.

The next day Derek had to go practice to be the minister. I will explain more later.  Then we went to the Temple that afternoon. So amazing inside. I loved it.  

THE BEACH!

That night we went to go eat with Derek's friends but we went to the beach right before. I forgot how much I love the beach!

DEREK THE MINISTER

Okay so I didnt know this but Derek's friend Di asked him a while ago if he would be the officiator at his wedding when he got married.  They got married a year ago in court because everyone from China couldn't get to America. So a year later they got married in California.  And Derek "married them".  

He did such a great job I was so proud of him. I'll admit I was a little nervous for him.  

We just googled some classic wedding vows and he went to work.  

It was in La Valencia - 4 star hotel in La Jolla

I learned that these boys love each other, D really looks up to Derek.  D came straight from China and then was really good friends with Derek when he was in Arizona.  Derek is the spiritual friend that's how he got his gig :)

Update...

So me and Derek are going strong. I really like him a lot and he is great.  His family is really great too, we went to their grandpa's cabin in Sun Valley for President's Day again and it was really fun.   The snow was perfect, with lots of powder. I have never snowboarded with powder but it was wonderful.  I am getting a camera soon, so I will be taking more pictures.

Marie's Baptism

Marie's Baptism was perfect.  Marie is my friend that moved into my house last May.  She is from California and came out to Utah to work.  She made some friends, learned about the Mormons and has made some changes in her life.  The gospel is amazing and when you understand it, you become a happier person. I am so proud of her.  She is such an angel in my life and I have learned so much by being her friend. God definitely puts certain people into your life for a reason  :)

At the baptism she was glowing. There were so many people who came to support her, who just love her.  Then after we had a little get together and had some treats.  A wonderful day!

Red Mango Time

So Red Mango is my new favorite frozen yogurt place. Me Derek, Katie and Josh went there the other night and it is amazing!

Sun Valley Idaho

Me and Derek took a road trip to Idaho to go to his grandpa's cabin up in Sun Valley Idaho.  It was a blast, we went snowboarding and the mountain was gorgeous.  Great snow, great weather and great company ofcourse :)  His grandpa had a hot tub in their cabin which is always a plus when you come home from a long day of snowboarding...

Well I got a pass to sundance and I went for the first time yesterday. I am so sore today! We went for 4 hours and my body is not used to this. But it was a blast. I went with my friend Greg.
